Music Ideas – Libby Bond

Music Ideas

As the idents appear on screen the ticking noise of the clocks fades in. As the pan round of the clocks begins, the ticking noise of the clocks continues getting slightly louder. As this happen eerie music fades in which is very quiet in comparison to the noise of the ticking clocks. This continues until the scene changes to the opening credits sequence. The clock noise fades out and the eerie music which was previously quite quiet becomes louder and there is a much more recognisable beat turning this previously unknown noise into a soundtrack.

Once the opening title sequence is over the soundtrack fades back into the eerie unrecognisable sound. As the actor walks past the man in the street the noise of the clocks returns however this time, the clocks are ticking faster and as before slowly get louder throughout the scene particularly at the point when the other man notices the cut on his neck. This represents the madness of this character and his wariness of time.

On the day, we will be taking a microphone with us. All the sound we record will come from this, not the camera as we think this will be bad quality. Sound recorded on the day will be things like the clocks ticking, The screams of the boy trapped in the bathroom, the stranger calling to the main character in the street and the dog barking. The soundtrack itself will be recorded using garage band.

Examples of sound we will create:
